First Aid Training
Over the years it has become apparent that the nature and extent of injuries sustained
in an accident can often be countered by prompt and proper treatment at the scene.
Many lives have, in fact, been saved and the effects of injuries minimised, by proper
actions carried out promptly by First Aiders at the scene of an accident, before
the arrival of qualified medical personnel. This is in stark contrast to the years
when one called for help and then stood back to let fate take its course. This course
is specifically intended to endow students with the basic techniques required in
an emergency situation, in order to save a life or stabilise an injury. You will
then be able to proudly say:
"I MADE A DIFFERENCE."
Parastar Medical and its sister company Medico First Aid Training is proud to introduce
its courses in First Aid Training. Medico First Aid Training was formed in 1996,
and registered as an organization for training first aid in South Africa, with the Department of labour offering first aid courses. Training of
First Aid in South Africa is classified into three Levels, Level 1 being the first
course with duration of 16 Hours, plus the exam. Students registering for this course
need to pass both a written and practical examination, before they can be awarded
their certificate in first aid. This course offers the following proficiencies;
